FastTrac™ programs, especially FastTrac New Venture and FastTrac Growth Venture, formerly called FastTrac™ Planning, have been offered in Florida since 1995. Originally coordinated by the University of Florida, Collier County Extension Service, the programs have seen more than 600 business graduates.
The governing board, known as the FastTrac Coalition, has always been comprised of representatives of local educational institutions, banks, law firms, accounting firms and private citizens who are interested in helping small business owners and potential business owners better manage the business components of their companies.
The members of the FastTrac Coalition voted in 2005 to formalize their organization by forming a nonprofit corporation named The Small Business Coalition, Inc. so that all organizations, especially the educational institutions, could more equally participate in offering FastTrac programs. |
